- On Ubuntu 16.04::
wget https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.4.4/Python-3.4.4.tgz
sudo tar xzf Python-3.4.4.tgz
cd Python-3.4.4
sudo ./configure
sudo make altinstall
# This will install Python 3.4 without replacing 3.5. To check if 3.4 was installed properly
run this command:
python3.4 -V
- On Fedora 21/RHEL7/CentOS7::
sudo yum install python3-devel
- On Fedora 22 and higher::
sudo dnf install python3-devel
