Ericsson SDI uses cached power state data in what is returned to the API user, and typically this takes longer than 30 seconds to provide an updated value to the API user. As such, if we do not extend the timeout value, such users of Ironic's Redfish API interface will have deployments fail as the power state timeout will be encountered. Overview
Ironic consists of an API and plug-ins for managing and provisioning physical machines in a security-aware and fault-tolerant manner. It can be used with nova as a hypervisor driver, or standalone service using bifrost. By default, it will use PXE and IPMI to interact with bare metal machines. Ironic also supports vendor-specific plug-ins which may implement additional functionality.
